Terms and Conditions
Please take a moment to acquaint yourself with our terms and conditions before booking your glamping holiday.
We remind guests that all bookings are subject to agreeing to the terms and conditions of booking. Bookings made on 3rd party sites are covered by their terms. For our guests’ convenience the full terms and conditions of booking are provided:
Deposits:
Guests and those requesting reservations agree for a deposit to be taken to confirm your booking. Unless otherwise stated this will be 30% of the total amount of your stay. For any bookings made after the 1st August 2023, this deposit will be non-refundable.
Cancellations:
In order to cancel a booking, guests must send written notification to Dentdale Pods & receive acknowledgement of receipt. We will work with you and try to transfer your booking to a later date if possible.
Holiday Insurance:
Dentdale Pods strongly advise our guests to ensure they have appropriate insurance cover in the event a guest is forced to cancel due to an act of god such, relative taken ill or bad weather and you are unable to reach us.
Check-in & Check-out:
Check-in is from 3pm on the day of arrival. Check-out is by 10:30am on the day of departure. Departure after this time constitutes late check-out, relevant fees apply.
Balance:
Where the arrival date is more than 14 days in advance, 30% of the total amount will be taken at the time of booking and the remaining 70% will be taken 14 days prior to arrival.
Where the arrival date is within 14 days of the booking date, full payment will be taken at the time of booking, you’ll receive a second email to pay the remaining amount.
Balances must be settled 14 days prior to arrival. Items bought on account during your stay will be charged with one week of your departure to your card. Failure to settle your account within a week of departure incurs a failure to pay a surcharge of 10% of the total fee due.
Website Images:
All images on our website of accommodation and surroundings are as illustrations only. Exact accommodation, interior decor and location of accommodation may differ to images on the website.
Force Majeure:
Guests are responsible to ensure they understand and are prepared for a glamping holiday in the rural countryside. It is recommended, guests check weather forecasts and pack accordingly for a rural break. Guests understand that there are multiple glamping accommodations on the glamping site. Please be aware that the site is a rural setting and the natural habitat of wild animals. Guests should not leave foodstuffs out either on benches, in plastic bags or open inside glamping accommodation that could encourage wild animals into the site. Dentdale pods are not liable for any event beyond Dentdale Pods’s reasonable control, this is including, but not limited to:
Any failure or defective working of all equipment
The effect of adverse weather on your glamping accommodation.
Dentdale Pods reserve the right to cancel a booking due to adverse weather, equipment failure & damage or for other reasons. In the eventuality of Dentdale Pods having to cancel a booking, the guest will receive a refund in full but no further compensation shall be paid. DENTDALE PODS’ total liability to a guest arising out of or in connection with this agreement shall not exceed the monies a guest has paid to DENTDALE PODS under it at the date any claim arises. DENTDALE PODS accommodation & services are provided with reasonable care and skill. These services are provided “as is” only and that all implied warranties, conditions and other terms concerning DENTDALE PODS’s performance of the services are excluded to the extent permitted by local factors. In accordance with section two of the Hotel Proprititors Act 1953, schedule notice: Loss of or damage of guests’ property a hotel proprietor may in certain circumstances be liable to make good any loss of or damage to a guest’s property even though it was not due to any fault of the proprietor or staff of the hotel. This liability however—
(a) extends only to the property of guests who have engaged sleeping accommodation at the hotel;
(b) is limited to fifty pounds for any one article and a total of one hundred pounds in the case of any one guest, except in the case of property which has been deposited, or offered for deposit, for safe custody;
(c) does not cover motor-cars or other vehicles of any kind or any property left in them, or horses or other live animals.
This notice does not constitute an admission either that the Act applies to this hotel or that liability there under attaches to the proprietor of this hotel in any particular case.
Trees are natural living entities, guests are reminded to take reasonable care and attention to trees and the effect of weather conditions on trees during their stay and plan accordingly. Guest are reminded not to run on the glamping site due to the natural undulation of the ground, protruding branches and possible trip hazards.
Car Parking:
All vehicles and their contents are parked at the owner’s risk. Guests are advised that DENTDALE PODS is not liable to any damage arising to vehicles in the parking area. In order to help reduce traffic volumes and minimise our carbon footprint and we recommend that no more than 1 car per accommodation are brought to Dentdale Pods.
There is restricted access and parking for larger vehicles. Please contact us for further information. Caravans, campervans and/or mobile homes are not permitted at Dentdale Pods.
Smoking:
Dentdale Pods is a no-smoking area.
Natural inhabitants:
Please note & remember that Dentdale Pods is in a rural setting that is the natural habitat of a range of native creatures such as insects, spiders, rodents & ticks. Guests are reminded to take reasonable care such as walking along pathways provided and not through long grass. You should note any information and guidance provided in any of our information booklets or notices.
Dogs/Pets
You must ensure that:
- Your breed of dog is not on the UK dangerous dogs register in accordance with the dangerous dogs act 1991.
- As a minimum, each dog has a current annual vaccination for distemper, canine hepatitis, leptospirosis and parvovirus;
- Each dog is properly supervised, is not dangerous and does not cause a nuisance or threat to anyone;
- When our staff need to visit your accommodation (e.g. requested a maintenance engineer) you must take your dog(s) out or keep them in a different room while these visits take place and comply with any specific instructions provided to you. Dogs must be kept on a lead at all times when outside your accommodation, and you must ensure they use the designated dog toilets.
If we, in our sole and reasonable discretion, consider your dog to be dangerous or to be causing a nuisance, harm or threat to anyone, or to be likely to do so, we may ask you to remove it from the Dentdale Pods (without refund or compensation) or have it removed to kennels at your expense. No other pets are permitted.
Dangerous items:
No firearm, shotgun, knife, air weapon, archery equipment, fireworks (including sparklers), illegal substances or similar item may be brought to Dentdale Pods under any circumstances by you or anyone in your party.
Noise:
We politely request all guests respect the wildlife, other guests and local residents in relation to noise levels. Being in the Yorkshire Dales National Park, we have restrictions on noise levels. Noise outside the pods should be kept to a minimum between 10pm and 7am. All guests causing a nuisance will incur a fine or will be asked to vacate the premises with no compensation or refund.
We make every effort to ensure that every guest enjoys a peaceful stay. However, we cannot guarantee or be held responsible for disturbances caused by other guests, the general public or for circumstances out of our control, (sometime you may be woken early by the sound of cows/sheep/wildlife!)
Contacting Staff:
Guests are responsible to raise any issues with a representative of DENTDALE PODS immediately, and during a stay, so that our staff have the opportunity to resolve any issues. If staff are not informed of any issues till the end of a stay or after a guest has departed; as guests will have used the service provided in good faith, not given DENTDALE PODS’s staff the opportunity to rectify the issues, the guest will have wavered the right to any refund.
Security of your property:
We draw your special attention to the following:
- Your personal belongings are your responsibility during your break with us.
- Vehicles parked on our property are subject to very limited security cover only. You must lock your vehicle securely and remove all valuable items on parking.
Site Rules:
Guests are reminded to respect other guests. Anti-social behaviour, obscenities, illegal acts or noise at unsocial hours are in breach of the site rules. Failure to comply could result in the booking being charged the full balance due & asked to leave the site.
Signatories:
The signatory of a booking / named person for online reservation requests is responsible for ensuring all members of a booking are aware of the site’s terms and conditions and abide by the site rules. Only a signatory can request alterations to a booking unless otherwise stated by DENTDALE PODS or the requested by the signatory. The signatory is responsible for additional items booked to the reservations account. A group constitutes a booking of two or more accommodation units which are acquainted, either booked separately or on one booking form. The signatory on a group booking is responsible for the behaviour of all members of their party.
Children:
Parents and carers are reminded that they are responsible for ensuring children in their care are monitored and do not run on the site.
Keys:
Please note that all guests are responsible for their keys. Any guest that loses their keys and requires assistance should contact Dentdale Pods as soon as possible.
All keys that are not returned on check out are subject to a £10.00 replacement charge per key.
Dentdale Pods reserves the right to refuse all future bookings in the event of unsettled accounts and key not being returned.
